James has been on the eldership at DCCC for over ten years. He is married to Kathleen and together they have three married adult children and seven grandchildren. James works full time as a Town Planner for the State Government in the Perth CBD.
James and Kathleen completed four years of theological training in Sydney with New Tribes Mission (now called Ethnos360) and then served as Missionaries to the remote Mandaya people group on the island of Mindanao in the Philippines for over 10 years. While home schooling their children, they learnt the Mandaya language and provided medical care to the people. Having built relationships with the people they taught chronologically through the Bible from Creation to Christ. They are keen that people everywhere come to understand that they can have a relationship with the creator of the universe through Jesus Christ.
James teaches on Sunday mornings at various times throughout the year and runs one of the mid-week Growth Groups that meet in various homes to pray and discuss the sermon from the previous Sunday and have fellowship.
